Both the room and the bathroom were clean and roomy. However, the shower was either strong and cold or extremely weak but hot. Some of the darker towels they provided left annoying fluff that sticks to your skin (imagine applying sunscreen to that!) We used our own towel but it was impossible to dry in the room because it was in the shade.
The place itself was quiet but if your neighbor likes watching TV, there's no soundproof whatsoever. Next day laundry service is 50 baht per kilo. The owners were very nice people —upon check-in, he highlighted some areas of interest on a free map for us. Overall, it was a pretty good stay despite the minor annoyances mentioned, as it was just $20 a night.
If you are staying longer and want some place cheaper, consider staying at a serviced apartment.
